Marjie's Angels

Little Albums

Marjie Thompson has been sharing her encyclopedic knowledge of weaving, particularly historical weaving for, well, a long time. I have learned so much from her workshops and from participating in her Complex Weavers study group on Early Weaving Books and Manuscripts.

By dint of participation in the foregoing group, I have been the fortunate recipient of several of her “angels”. This little choir originated from a design she found in an old weaving manuscript. She then started playing with the design and created many variations on the original and shared them with use via the EWBM newsletter.

I found the perfect way to display them in The Art of the Fold by Hedy Kyle and Ulla Warchol. This is their Panorama Book from the Albums chapter:
